Rules 8 Ball
Sportsmanship
Zero tolerance for poor sportsmanship. No sharking, bitching, complaining about handicaps. If you slam a stick on the table or knock balls off the table, you will be DQ’d. Do not walk around the table while your opponent is shooting. Stay in one spot. Do not talk to your opponent while shooting. If you say “good game” before they shoot the 8 ball, the game is conceded. If you don’t like it, don’t play. Go complain on facebook.
Handicaps + Eliminations
Range from (2) - (7+3) Chips - Lose a game, lose a chip. If you have a + rating means that you will receive those losses if you make it to $$$ rounds
If you are eliminated by a break and run, you have a chance to break and run. If you break and run, your opponent does not receive a loss, but you play a 3rd game sudden death.
Reminder!!! A 7 will be guaranteed a spot in the $$$! If all 7’s are eliminated before the $$$, the last one will automatically go to last $$$ spot. If they make it on their own, GREAT! If they have a + rating they will receive those extra losses in $$$ rounds
Format & Schedule
This tournament is about efficiency and speed. Speed is the #1 rule! It overrules everything else. If a match can be played, play it. Players should be playing.
Players Meeting - 7:45PM (Not 7:50, Not 8:00PM).
Round 1 - 8:30PM - Players are separated into 2 groups, they will either stay on the assigned table or rotate and play on every table
Round 2 - 10:30PM - Rotating players are grouped together to play each other, while table players will now play each other.
Game Rules
Split quarters for men. Women do not pay for games unless playing another woman
BCA rules - Flip or lag each game for break.
Rack your own. Can’t win/lose on the break (8 spots or re-rack).
Open after the break (Cannot use 8 as 1st ball).
Call ball & pocket. Cue ball scratch on 8 is NOT a loss unless 8 ball is pocketed.
If you need a shot watched, FILM IT in slo-mo
Score Keeping
We are now using tablets! For each table, you will have an assigned tablet. Once a match is done, all you have to do is Checkbox the WINNER
