As we approach the Prix D'Amerique on January 29, I brought in lifelong horseman Anders Lindqvist to introduce us to the French culture and what to expect for the biggest race in Europe! As a trainer, he's won every race except the Prix D'Amerique and even though he's 64 years young, it's still a goal of his in his illustrious career!

Charlie Longo and Matt Zuccarello created the investment partnership last year to get new owners and fans to buy race horses. 30 Year Old Tyler Buter moved out to the east coast with his wife Amber 6 years ago. Building up their training stable to eventually winning the Bluechip Matchmaker Stakes Series with Feeling You. He's one of the top regular drivers at Yonkers, and plans to stay that way for years to come!

At 17 years old, Joe already won his first driving title! Amassing 25 victories this summer on the NY county fair circuit, he's ready to step up his game next year when he turns 18 and can take it to the pros. With the help of his father Joe, plus veteran horsemen Jim Delucia and Larry Stalbaum, this young gun is humble with a levelhead, and may be the next budding superstar in harness racing!

Ever since moving out to the East Coast, Brent has become one of the staple drivers at Yonkers Raceway. He prides himself on being able to drive any style race and any style horse, but his biggest pride is raising his family and setting a good example for his kids. Fun Fact: He attends the same church as famed Yankees Pitcher, Mariano Rivera.

Dennis J, has been a long time trainer at Yonkers Raceway for over 30 years. In that time, his son, Dennis A, has taken up the family business and both of them have teamed up to run one of the most successful stables racing at Yonkers!

He heads the NY operation for trainer Paul Blumenfeld for the last 9 years. Their stable has been very successful at Yonkers during that time, including perennial open pacer Sapphire City. Before coming to the east coast, Mitch had a lot of obstacles to overcome, but the focus of horses and harness racing has kept Mitch on the straight path!

Only the 2nd woman to ever win the most prestigious race in harness racing, the Hambletonian! There have been 91 editions and now her horse Marion Marauder will go down in history! It was a long road to the Hambletonian, and we talked about what it took to prepare Marion for the biggest race of his career

They've been together over 30 years and have experienced all of the ups and downs in harness racing! Dan is a long time driver/trainer who has had much success racing in NY along with training one of the top sires when he was racing, RC Royalty. Ann Mari has taken her passion for photography and turned it into an adventure to promote harness racing, bringing raw emotion through the lens!

They have won 4 out of the last 7 Hambletonian Stakes Races and They call Yonkers Raceway home. Arguably 2 of the best drivers ever, George and Brian are also great friends off the racetrack who are competitive in everything they do! John Campbell has won every North American major Stakes race that there is to win.....multiple times!!!! NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Martin Truex Jr and Sherry Pollex presented the Hambletonian trophy Saturday to the winner Marion Marauder! Then on their way back to the airport gave me the best backseat car interview I've ever done in my career!

One of the leading trainers in wins at Yonkers Raceway! He's had multiple top level pacers including 2015 William Haughton Champion Mach It So, but his bread and butter seems to be with the ladies! The older pacing mares has been the division he has dominated over the last few years with Androvette, Krispy Apple, and Venus Delight! It must be the long locks of hair and his perfect beard.....yes I am jealous!

One of the forewomen of the Racing Under Saddle initiative in America, Michelle is the most experienced rider by far. Born and raised in Sweden, she's been racing since she was 8 years old! She's trying to bring Monte racing into the limelight now, and hopefully RUS can be another extension of Harness Racing.

The youngest driver ever to win the Little Brown Jug! A regular at Yonkers Raceway when he's not off racing on the Grand Circuit in major Stakes Races! The next few weeks, he's hoping to team up with Paula Wellwood and Mike Keeling to campaign Marion Marauder to a Hambletonian Victory!

One of the youngest and enthusiastic fans in harness racing! Besim is only 16 years old and is already plotting his course for harness racing success! An alumni of the Harness Horse Youth Foundation, he partnered with his father to start owning horses, and hopes to grow his stable, and maybe eventually take up training once he's finished with college

2008 Hambletonian Champion, SOA of NY Director, Meadowlands Pace Winner, NY Sire Stakes Champion....there's not many things that Ray Schnittker hasn't done in the world of harness racing! His innovative and aggressive driving/training style has earned him a unique career!

The most successful owner in Harness Racing! He started with one horse and a simple business plan. He was a lifelong fan before he decided to invest, and once he hooked up with Ron Burke, the Weaver Bruschemi Stable soared! He's owned some of the most influential horses in history, winning almost ever major stakes race.

At only 27 years old, Allison is in charge of promoting an entire sport!!! She leads the way on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat, creating and distributing content, new ownership programs, etc. She also was the caretaker of the richest Pacer ever, Foiled Again. That's pretty, pretty, prettaaayy, pretty good!!!

Jeff, Janine, Barbara, and Bill Gesek. Bill has been suffering from Multiple Sclerosis for 30 years, and his wife Barbara has been right by his side for 50+years! Their entire family has been lifelong harness racing fans including owning some race horses for 25 years. In November, their son, Jeff, and his wife, Janine, created the Pacing The Cure Foundation and purchased a yearling, aptly named MrBillG, and are going to donate his winnings to charity....but the gameplan is not to stop with just one horse!! They have much bigger plans!

The 23 Year Old Midwest Driving Phenom! One of the leading drivers at Hoosier Park, Tyler has had a lifetime of horse experience even though he's still considered young. He's had a few stakes wins, including winning an elimination of the 2014 Little Brown Jug, but he's hungry for more! Plus, he has a baby due any day now! So he's going to be hungrier than ever to get to 3000 wins!

One of the hardest working women in harness racing! She trains, grooms, ships, and, along with her father Joe, work together to care for their 26 acre farm in Vernon, NY. For now, her main track is Pocono Downs, but they travel all around the NY Tri-state area! Chris Tully has participated in harness racing since the 1970's in a variety of capacities, including trainer, driver, caretaker, breeder, track manager and sales company executive. He is currently the Sales Manager for the upcoming Goshen Yearling Sale on 9/13. (goshenyearlingsale.com) Holding several current positions in the industry, he lists Marketing Manager for the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame and Sales Manager for the Goshen Yearling Sale as the most fulfilling. He is also the National President of the United States Harness Writers Association and a Trustee for the Harness Horse Youth Foundation.
